The 1st Annual Cork Street Charity Open Art Exhibition is an international exhibition of contemporary fine art held to showcase both emerging and established artists while raising funds and increasing the profile of a selected charity. The chosen charity for 2008 is Children with Aids Charity. CWAC is a national UK charity with the aim of working towards a future without poverty or prejudice for children and the families of those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Any artist living anywhere in the world may enter. All work must be original, conceived and executed solely by the artist, and completed within the past year, without instructional assistance. All media except film and video are eligible for exhibition. Work cannot exceed 60in (152cm) in any direction or 75 lbs. in weight. There will be no provision for work requiring electricity or special installation. There is a maximum of four entries per artist and there is an entry fee of £8 per work (£5 per work for Young Artists under 18) |
