| RWS / Sunday Times Watercolour Competition 2008 |
 Sponsored by the Royal Watercolour Society & The Sunday Times, this prestigious competition aims to encourage the use of watercolour and water based media paintings among both amateur and professional artists. The most prestigious annual watercolour event (previously the Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition) is one of the few remaining prizes to celebrate the diversity and beauty of the frequently undervalued medium of watercolour. The result is a visual feast of dynamic and challenging paintings. All works produced in water-based medium on a paper support are acceptable, and with prizes totalling £25,000 on offer, artists are invited to submit up to four works for the 2008 exhibition.
