Previously known as The Chichester Open Art Exhibition, this national competition has been relaunched this year to encourage entries from far and wide across the UK. The competition is open to all artists and is encouraging the work of experimental and young artists as well as the traditionalists. The result of which is a "National” Showcase of contemporary art to include paintings, drawings and prints. The exhibition judges for 2008 are chaired by Professor Maurice Cockrill RA, Keeper of the Royal Academy Schools, Richard Cork, art critic and Gavin Turk, one of our foremost contemporary artists. Sat 8th - Sat 22nd November 2008 – Chichester Festival Theatre, Chichester, West Sussex.  TOTAL PRIZE MONEY £26,000
