The Lynn-Painter Stainers Prize 2009 - Created in 2005 with the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and the Lynn Foundation with The Spectator as media sponsor. The purpose of the Prize is to encourage creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtsmanship.
This annual exhibition is open to all UK artists with prize money totalling £22,500 and an engraved gold medal for the winner. Regional collection points throughout the UK in September. Judges for 2009 are as follows : Angela Flowers [Director, Flowers Gallery] , Mick Rooney RA [artist], Daphne Todd OBE PPRP NEAC [artist], Susan Wilson [artist], Andrew Wilton [Visiting Research Fellow at Tate Britain], Ian Fair [Trustee of the Lynn Foundation] will act as non-voting Chairman of the panel.
