Urbis - ManchesterAhhh, Urbis. Well Urbis is at the other end of the city, near Victoria Railway station, but as Manchester city centre isnt that big, it doesnt take long to get there. Well worth a visit, if only to experience the superb modern glass archtecture of the bulding itself, which seems to be synonomous of Manchester nowadays. Generally Admission is FREE, but a touring exhibition may require an entrance fee, Again, superb cafe and food, and the penthouse floor features a wonderful a la carte French restaurant.

Befitting its patrons, Damien Hirst, Danny Boyle and Hellen Mirren - the Cornerhouse has really established itself as Manchester coolest arts venue for art and film. Again worthy of note is The Cornerhouses cafe restaurant, which offers superb food alongside its great bar - a genuine real place to be seen in Manchester. The venue also has a superb arts bookstore.
